Tatiana Warsher (Moscow 1880 - Rome 1960), a pupil of Michael Rostovtzeff at the University of St. Petersburg, published the guidebook Pompeji, ein Führer durch die Ruinen in 1925, also translated into other languages. She compiled huge manuscript volumes on Pompeii, including photographs, maps and plans. The volumes were created in duplicate copies (the various copies are not identical) and are now kept at the Department of Classical Studies at Duke University, the German Archaeological Institute in Rome, the American Academy in Rome and the Swedish Institute in Rome.
